Sponsorship and Donation Info

Unlike any other organization SRF is the model, now 19 years old, the first of it's kind and the first who follows up on each adoption. While we look for lifetime homes we have learned that sometimes an adopter can no longer provide the right care. Had SRF relinquished the horse, the chances are great that he may unintentionally find himself back on the slaughter line. This is why we follow-up bi-annually to asure every horse adopted remains healthy and safe.

Currently, SRF supports 80 horses who have injuries which leave them comfortable in the field but not very adoptable, some are simply elderly but all are healthy otherwise and in need of a friend. Caring for 80 horses is a huge board bill every month. In trying to offset costs we look for loving sponsors to help. You can sponsor any horse of your choice, visit, and choose the dollar amount of your tax deductible . In general each horse costs SRF about $250. per month. Oh, lets not forget the other 58 rideable horses we care for who needs homes, that is 138 large mouths to feed.

You may choose to become a member with a gift which gives you a gift back, a t-shirt, golf shirt etc. or other item. Perhaps you can help with an item from our WISH List. Whatever you choose to do helps keep these noble and needy horses from slaughter. And don't forget how it helps our kids in our youth programs as well!
